HRH The Duke of Gloucester Visits Regal House

On Tuesday 23 April, HRH The Duke of Gloucester was given a warm welcome as he visited Regal House in Bradford, the head office site for Regal Food Products Group Plc.  

Ed Anderson CBE, The Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire greeted His Royal Highness before introducing him to Younis Chaudhry, the Chief Executive Officer of the Regal Food Group, who started the official visit with a meet and greet with staff, and a presentation on the group’s 20+ year journey and its portfolio of brands.

Followed by a behind the scenes tour of the bakery and manufacturing facilities, Younis Chaudhry guided HRH The of Duke Gloucester and The Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire around the bakery whilst witnessing some of Regal’s household favourites being created, including Maderia cakes, biscuits, pastries, and of course Cake Rusk.

A plaque which reads “To commemorate the visit of HRH The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO to Regal House. Tuesday 23 April 2024” was unveiled to mark the occasion and the visit.

Regal Host and Sponsor Women’s Millan Centre Community Lunch

On Wednesday 28 February Regal Food Products Group hosted and sponsored an over 50’s women’s community lunch in partnership with the Millan Centre.

Attended by over 30 women, many of whom suffer from isolation and mental health, the dinner held at a Bradford restaurant aimed to give attendees of the centre the opportunity and space to relax and socialise.

The Millan Centre is a community centre who run educational, social and health related activities for women and girls in the Manningham and Heaton area of Bradford.

CEO Younis Chaudhry Crowned Business Leader of the Year at the Yorkshire Post Awards

Regal Food Products Group’s CEO Younis Chaudhry has been crowned Business Leader of the Year at the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards 2023.

This prestigious award is wholeheartedly deserved and is a testament to Younis and his dedication, focus and kindness.

Regal Foods Host Special Iftar Event in Partnership with Bradford City AFC

On Thursday 20 April, Regal Foods joined forces with Bradford City AFC to host a special Iftar event held at the University of Bradford Stadium.

Over 130 guests from all faiths and communities gathered in the McCall Suite to attend Iftar – a daily event that occurs throughout the holy month of Ramadan, where people come together to break their fast and participate in prayer.

Speakers included Regal Foods CEO Younis Chaudhry, who spoke about his own journey of faith and experiences as a practicing Muslim. Younis addressed the importance of the strong partnership between Regal and BCAFC and the new Regal sponsored multi-faith Prayer Room that was officially opened back in February this year.

Other guest speakers included The Bantams CEO Ryan Sparks, composer and song writer Ismail Hussain, and players from the youth team who shared their experiences of fasting throughout Ramadan.

With welcomes over, guests were invited to the Board Room to prayer, led by Nasheed Artist Ismail Hussain, which was followed by a buffet and networking.

“There comes a time in life when you want to start giving back to others, and our partnership with Bradford City allows us to do this, whether this is through community initiatives or supporting charities – it’s my biggest pleasure especially during the month of Ramadan.”

Bradford City’s CEO Ryan Sparks said “It was great to welcome so many people from across the district to the University of Bradford Stadium last night, for our second Iftar event in the past year. 

“To see upwards of 130 guests enjoying a meal together, networking and listening to some of the fantastic figures we had speaking and performing was very pleasing. 

“We are immensely proud of Bradford’s diverse culture, and this is something we embrace every day in our efforts to make our club an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone.

CEO Younis Chaudhry Joins Morrisons for Special Iftar Event

CEO Younis Chaudhry was invited to Morrisons head office in Bradford for a special Iftar event, where he spoke about his own journey of faith and his experiences as a practising Muslim.

A spokesperson from Morrisons said “We know that Ramadan is an important month for our Muslim colleagues and customers, so this week colleagues from across Morrisons have been taking part in a solidarity fast.

“Through fasting alongside our Muslim colleagues we’ve shared experiences, learnt about Ramadan and the significance of charity and also what we can all do to support our teams during this time.”

“It’s through sharing moments like this that our colleagues learn from each other and make everyone feel welcome and inc.”

Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire Presents Regal Foods with Queen’s Award

On Monday 28 November, the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire visited Regal House, the home of Regal Food Products Group Plc, to present the company with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

Younis Chaudhry, CEO of Regal Foods, greeted the Lord Lieutenant at Regal’s head office in Bradford before introducing him to the team, friends and guests of Regal Foods. The awards presentation celebrated Regal Food’s international success who as a company export to over 40 countries around the globe.

The scroll presented by the Lord Lieutenant, Ed Anderson CBE, is the only document to be signed by her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Prime Minister on the same scroll. A unique crystal bowl was also presented.

International Success Leads to Royal Meeting

Regal Food Products Group CEO, Younis Chaudhry, was recently invited to Buckingham Palace for a royal reception to celebrate the company’s overseas success and Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for International Trade win.

The royal reception held at the palace was hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales, The Princess Royal, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra.

The company’s success has seen overseas sales grow by 77% over the last three years, with an estimated 10% growth year on year over the next 3 years.

CEO Younis Chaudhry comments: “It was an honor to be invited to Buckingham Palace where I was given the opportunity to talk to HRH The Prince of Wales about Regal Foods and what export means to us and for the UK.”

“With The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise flag now flying high at our head office site in Bradford, it is a great privilege to be representing the UK within international trade.”

Regal Food Products Group Plc are manufacturers and distributors of a wide range of world food products, mainstream confectionery, and drinks. Extending to 380 products which are now exported to over 40 countries and distributed to over 3,000 retail outlets, including major supermarket chains.

An Invitation to No 10

CEO of Regal Food Products Group, Younis Chaudhry, was invited to 10 Downing Street for their Spring Showcase – an event hosted by the Prime Minister that promotes and champions the best of British Businesses. The event was also part of the Make British Food Great campaign.

After the recent news of Regal Foods receiving the prestigious Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, Mr Chaudhry discussed with the Prime Minister matters around international trade and the importance of British export.

International Trade Secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Environment Secretary George Eustice and Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng were also in attendance for this celebratory event.
