Regal Food Products Group has announced Bradford Hospitals Charity as its Charity of the Year and has donated £15,000 towards the construction of a new ‘Home from Home’ neonatal facility at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The significant donation will help fund the construction of a new multi-faith room and laundry facility at the ‘Home from Home’ site, which will provide much-needed accommodation for parents of babies receiving neonatal care at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Parents whose babies require neonatal care often spend long days at their child’s bedside, with some travelling significant distances to and from the hospital. The new facility will provide additional parent bedrooms close to the Neonatal Unit, enabling more families to remain near their babies throughout treatment and recovery.

Regal Foods has a long-standing commitment to supporting charitable causes and initiatives within the local community. The partnership with Bradford Hospitals Charity reflects the company’s ongoing ethos of giving back and making a meaningful difference to people’s lives.

Laura Riach, Director of Bradford Hospitals Charity, said: “Seeing work begin on site is incredibly exciting. For many families who have supported this appeal, these parent bedrooms represent something they wished had been available during their own neonatal journey.”

“We’re hugely grateful to Regal Foods and every supporter who has helped us reach this important milestone. With foundations now being prepared and construction underway, supporters can finally see this much-needed facility beginning to take shape.”

Faz Ali, Sales & Marketing Director, said: “We’re proud to support causes that make a real difference to local people. Our family knows first-hand what it’s like to have a loved one admitted to Bradford’s Neonatal Unit. It’s an experience no parent expects, and we understand how important it is to stay close during such a difficult time.”

“We hope this donation will help more parents remain close to their babies when they need each other most. The ‘Home from Home’ will create something truly special for families across Bradford and beyond, and we’re delighted to play a part in making it happen.”
